AKQA London Christmas Card

To wish all their friends and clients a happy Christmas 2007, AKQA London enlisted the help of two gerbils named Cheese and Biscuits. The gerbils were placed in a specially-built tank in front of the festive neon sign.

Inside the tank, a specially modified gerbil wheel was rigged up to the neon sign. Every time one of the gerbils ran on their wheel, the sign would come on wishing all who were watching the live video stream a very happy Christmas from AKQA.

The card racked up thousands of views, and caused a barrage of appreciation from clients, bloggers, consumers, industry professionals and even Yahoo News, who voted it their site of the day.
