Today, elite athletes like LeBron James visit the Nike Campus in Portland and use the state of the art facilities to understand their true capabilities. Nike then shows them how to take their game even higher.

In April 2010 we began talking with Nike about bringing that same personalized training innovation to consumers everywhere. After a 2 year journey we unveiled Nike+ Kinect Training.

CREATING A DIGITAL, ATHLETIC AND GAMING PARTNERSHIP

The first step to delivering innovation to every consumer was to form a partnership. By uniting Nike's knowledge of athletic training, Microsoft's Kinect tracking technology and our application of digital to create consumer experiences, we had the platform to redefine personal training in the home.

RE-ENGINEERING KINECT TO MEASURE EVERY MOVE

To deliver a truly authentic personal training experience we had to track body motion to the millimetre. To achieve this Kinect technology was pushed to limits never before seen, to allow us to trace movement even more precisely than the human eye.

KEEPING ATHLETES FOCUSSED ON THEIR GOALS

Taking your body to new levels demands focus during every drill. So we designed the UI across the entire experience to be intelligent and to intuitively co-ordinate with the trainer's audio feedback. When you train you'll know what to do, at exactly the right time.

A NEW PLATFORM FOR MEASURING FITNESS

Seeing progress keeps you motivated. So we concepted and created a new universal measure of fitness called Fuel Print. Built around Fitness and Athleticism you can break down your performance to see your strengths and the areas that need improvement. You can then compare yourself to athletes of all sporting backgrounds, around the world.

WORK OUT WITH FRIENDS WHEREVER YOU ARE

When you're looking for extra motivation, working out with friends keeps you on track and holds you accountable. For the first time in a fitness title we brought friends together from across the globe, to train in real time.

EXTENDING THE NIKE+ ECOSYSTEM

Training is more than a 1 hour session on console. Our companion apps keep you connected to your workouts every minute of the day. In between sessions you can see what you've just done, what it means to your overall progress and what you're doing next. Plus you'll receive updates about your friends.

BRINGING INSPIRATION AND INNOVATION TO EVERYONE

After showcasing Nike+ Kinect Training at E3, we marketed the product with a through the line campaign featuring Olympic gymnast Shawn Johnson and pro football player DeSean Jackson. The campaign demonstrated that whatever your athletic level or sporting background, Nike+ Kinect Training can elevate your fitness to new heights.
